Kayak along the cliffs of Los Gigantos
With the sun high in the sky and the refreshing water under your kayak, the adventure begins along the majestic cliffs of Los Gigantes. The imposing rock walls towered high above you, as you marvel at their impressive grandeur. The sound of crashing waves and the salty sea air surround you as you paddle leisurely across the calm waters. The cliffs revealed a beautiful palette of colors ranging from the warm earth tones to the deep blues of the ocean. As you drift along, you’ll discover hidden caves invitingly await you. Along the way you will meet curious seabirds that hover over the cliffs and playful dolphins that curiously pop up and disappear again in the waves. It feels like a magical interplay between nature and yourself, an intimate dance between man and environment.
Your kayak trip along the cliffs of Los Gigantes has enchanted and enriched you, a memory that will remain forever etched in your heart.
Hike to the top of El Teide
El Teide is located in the National Park from which it owes its name. It is the highest peak in Spain with the recent measurement of 3715 meters high. It is a stratovolcano measuring almost 7000 meters from the base (sea floor). It is the 3rd highest volcano in the world after Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa.
Yes! Our adventure starts early in the morning at 07:00 from the base next to TF-21. We are going to climb the historic route of Teide, and it promises to be a great day! The first stage takes us from Montaña Blanca to the Altavista Refuge, where we can prepare for the next challenge. Then we continue to La Rambleta via trail no. 11 of La Fortaleza. The view along the way is breathtaking! But the best is yet to come, as the third stage takes us to the top via trail number 10, called Telesforo Bravo. We can’t wait to stand at 3,715 m above sea level and enjoy the panoramic view! After an unforgettable experience, we return down by cable car. This will be a day to remember!
Dia de Descanso
We have a rest day…..and also a day to get ready for tomorrow’s crossing to Gran Canaria
Ferry to Gran Canaria
As adventurous sailors, we leave Tenerife behind us today and set sail for the enchanting Gran Canaria. A new destination awaits us, Gran Canaria……
Coasting
Coastering, also known as coasteering, is an adventure activity where you explore Gran Canaria’s rugged coastline. It involves a combination of climbing, scrambling, jumping, swimming and hiking along the rocky coast. While coasting you can enjoy spectacular cliffs, natural pools, caves and hidden coves. Via ferrata means “iron road” in Italian and is a climbing activity where you follow a route equipped with cables, ladders, bridges and other means of protection. In Gran Canaria there are several via ferrata routes available that give you the opportunity to climb steep rock walls and cliffs. It is a challenging activity suitable for both beginners and advanced climbers. With the help of the security devices you can enjoy the climbing in a safe way and at the same time enjoy breathtaking views of the landscape and the ocean.
Via Ferrata
The via ferrata is a route prepared with various metal elements such as staples, stairs, chains… to make it more accessible. Therefore, it is the highest level of hiking and a good way to start in the vertical world of climbing.
The via ferrata is a vertical walking activity, going up a 140 meter high wall and a route of 250 meters. Equipped with a helmet, harnesses and anchor lines, we move forward secured with a steel cable at all times. It is essential not to have vertigo. Don’t worry anyone can do it though!!
Canyoning
It is an activity that, despite not being very well known, is one of the best options we have to discover the island of Gran Canaria. It consists of descending a ravine or canyon, following the course of the water, which is why several exercises are combined such as: hiking, jumping, climbing, swimming, abseiling and also having fun!
We are equipped with a neoprene suit, helmet and personal protective equipment (harness, helmet, carabiner and eight). We have a very varied orography, so depending on the canyon chosen, we have forests with waterfalls or hilarious canyons with jumps of different heights and natural slides.
Back home
With a mixture of excitement and melancholy we return home today, after immersing ourselves in the adventure paradise of Tenerife and Gran Canaria. The memories of our journey of discovery will remain with us forever, like precious treasures kept deep in our hearts. As we say goodbye to these beautiful islands, we take a piece of their magic with us, and cherish the promise of new adventures that await in the future.
