Prepare for a breathtaking trek to the top of the third highest volcano in the world. Only surpassed by Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa. The El Teide volcano is located in the National Park named after him and stands majestically as the highest peak in Spain, reaching an impressive height of 3715 meters. The stratovolcano measures a height of almost 7,000 meters from the base (seabed) and is easily accessible under guidance. Part of the descent can be completed after the long climb with the El Teide cable car.

Activity
During this activity we will make a climb on foot from the parking lot at the bottom of Montaña Blanca. We climb to the top and descend on foot to the mountain station of the Teide cable car at 3555 m. After a short break we descend to the base station at 2356 m.

* (in case you cannot use the Teide cable car, the descent will be completed on foot, which requires approximately 3-4 hours of additional descent).

– Elevation gain: Total 1600m accumulated (+1400m ascent; -200m descent) approx.
– Altitude: 3715 m. max. and 2348 meters. min.
– Duration: * Total 5 – 6 hours approximately. / (+1h 15 there and back without car combination)

Minimum requirements:
This is a high-level hiking activity not only because of the slope, but also because of the altitude at which we will walk.
You should be in good health and physical condition (regular exercise), allowing you to perform the activity comfortably, as it is estimated that a total of approximately 5-6 hours of activity is required.

Important:
This activity is not recommended for children under 16 years of age, pregnant women or people suffering from lung or breathing problems, heart failure or high blood pressure.

Start of this Tour:
8:30 am. We meet at the cable car parking lot in Teide National Park. From this point we drive in private cars (or taxi if rented) to the Montaña Blanca parking lot (it is an area with little or no parking). It is important to start this activity well rested.
