Day 1: Arrival in Las Palmas
After a relaxing flight you land in sun-drenched Gran Canaria. As soon as you have collected your bags, a car will be ready for you. Your adventure starts immediately, because you drive yourself to Tejeda, one of the most beautiful villages on the island. You will stay in a beautiful hotel, located in the heart of the village, with breathtaking views of the iconic Roque Nublo. This is the perfect place to catch your breath and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Day 2: A walk full of views
Today is all about discovery. Start quietly with a short walk from Cruz de Tejeda, a beautiful place where you can park your car at the cozy wooden stalls. Here the local residents sell craft products, a nice opportunity to score some souvenirs. We have a special walking route ready for you, tailored to your wishes and level. After your walk you can continue to enjoy picturesque Tejeda, with its inviting terraces.
Day 3: Tejeda and the magic of Roque Nublo
Today you have plenty of time to explore Tejeda and its surroundings. Take a walk around the village and along the way keep a view of the impressive Roque Nublo, one of the most famous sights of Gran Canaria. Would you like to see this rock up close? Then drive the car to the nearby parking lot and take a short, but impressive hike to the top. The views that await you there are more than worth it.
Day 4: Heading north – Historic Arucas and charming Firgas
You leave Tejeda and drive towards the north of the island. Your first stop is Arucas, a town known for its rich history and the impressive Parroquia de San Juan Bautista. This neo-Gothic church, often mistaken for a cathedral, is a real eye-catcher. After admiring the church, you can optionally visit the famous Arehucas rum factory for a tour and tasting. Then it’s time for a relaxing walk through the Jardín de la Marquesa botanical garden. Then you drive to Firgas, also known as ‘the city of water’. Here you can enjoy the Paseo de Gran Canaria, a street with beautiful tiles and an impressive waterfall, and the town square Plaza de San Roque, where you have beautiful views of the surrounding nature.
Day 5: The Valley of Agaete – A day full of coffee and nature
Today you dive into nature with a visit to the famous coffee plantation in the Agaete valley. You can choose to walk to the plantation via the old riverbed, or you can drive there by car. Once you arrive, you will get a tour and learn everything about roasting coffee beans. Of course, a tasting of the local coffee and liqueurs should not be missed. If you came walking, you can walk back to your accommodation via the riverbed after the tour. Or you can use the walk that we send you.
Day 6: Explore at your own pace
There is no fixed program today. You can choose to take another nice walk, or visit the ancient city of Gáldar, just a 20-minute drive from Agaete. The choice is yours – nothing is mandatory, everything is allowed.
Day 7: Discovery day
Enjoy your last full day in Gran Canaria. Take a drive south along the beautiful west coast and visit Puerto Mogán, the island’s ‘little Venice’. Or perhaps you would prefer a day of culture in Las Palmas? If you need more peace and quiet, a relaxing walk through the center of Agaete is also a perfect choice. This day is all about your wishes.
Day 8: Departure – Goodbye, Gran Canaria!
Unfortunately, this wonderful journey comes to an end. With a head full of beautiful memories you will be taken to the airport, ready to return home. Gran Canaria has captured a piece of your heart, and who knows, see you next time!
