The Three Pearls is a 15-day individual hiking holiday combining three of the most fascinating Canary Islands: La Gomera, La Palma and El Hierro. With your own rental car, you have the freedom to explore each island at your own pace, choose your hiking routes and visit the places that interest you most.
Each island has its own character. On La Gomera, you discover green mountain landscapes and Garajonay National Park. La Palma is known for its volcanoes, forests and high mountain areas. On El Hierro, you experience the peaceful atmosphere of a small and authentic island, with volcanic coastlines, forests and traditional villages.
This hiking holiday in La Gomera, La Palma and El Hierro combines hiking, island hopping and freedom. You receive a selection of hiking routes and GPX files, but you are not tied to a fixed daily hiking programme. With your rental car, you decide where to go and which hike you would like to do each day.
One of the highlights of the trip is a guided excursion to the Tajogaite volcano on La Palma. Accompanied by a local guide, you discover the new volcanic landscape created during the 2021 eruption. This makes the trip a combination of active days, nature, local history and three very different Canary Islands.
La Gomera: Green Mountains and Garajonay National Park
On La Gomera, you discover a green and mountainous island with significant elevation changes, small villages and Garajonay National Park. With your rental car, you can explore different parts of the island and choose from a selection of hiking routes.
La Palma: Volcanoes, Forests and the Tajogaite Volcano
La Palma, also known as La Isla Bonita, is famous for its volcanic landscapes and green mountain areas. During your stay, you visit the Tajogaite volcano, which emerged during the 2021 Cumbre Vieja eruption.
On the other days, you are free to choose your own hikes and places to visit. From your accommodation, you can explore different parts of the island by car and on foot.
El Hierro: Peace, Nature and Volcanic Landscapes
On El Hierro, you experience a quieter and more authentic side of the Canary Islands. The small island has little mass tourism and offers plenty of opportunities for hiking and exploring by car. Discover volcanic coastal areas, green forests, traditional villages and the characteristic wind-shaped juniper trees. The natural swimming pools along the coast are also well worth a visit.
