This trip is a group trip especially for people who want something more than long walking days. Do you like walking, but absolutely not all day long, do you like nice towns and a terrace? Then this trip is very suitable for you!

Gran Canaria is an island of contrasts and offers perfect day walks. Explore the green valleys, lovely villages and unique traditions of this versatile island.
One of the highlights of our walking tour is a visit to an authentic coffee plantation in the Agaete Valley. Here you can taste local coffee, discover how the beans are grown, and enjoy the views of the surrounding mountains. Or the charming mountain village of Teror after we walk around an ancient crater, known for its colonial architecture and the Basilica of the Virgen del Pino, the patron saint of the island, admire the colorful balconies and taste traditional delicacies such as chorizo de Teror. Firgas, the “water village” of Gran Canaria. Here is the starting point of the walk and we walk along the famous Paseo de Canarias, a street with beautiful mosaics and fountains.

1| Arrival in Las Palmas
Upon arrival at the airport you will be taken to the accommodation. You will spend the night in a nice accommodation with breakfast.
2| Circular walk Agaete & Coffee plantation
The first real walking day starts with a beautiful trip towards the Tamadaba nature reserve. Here we turn to the impressive Montaña Bibique, an ancient volcanic crater that offers breathtaking views over the Agaete Valley.
Halfway along the route we make a stop at an old coffee plantation. Here we enjoy a delicious cup of local coffee and get a look behind the scenes during a tour of the plantation. It’s the perfect break to recharge for the last six kilometers to Agaete which continues through an ancient riverbed that leads us back to Agaete.

3| Just around the Agaete valley
Today we continue exploring the diverse Agaete Valley, a place full of hidden gems. The transfer takes us around the Presa de los Pérez, an area located southeast of the Tamadaba nature reserve, where we walk towards Agaete. A linear walk, mainly descending to Agaete.
During this walk you will be treated to enormous reservoirs, surrounded by the rugged nature of this unique region. The contrast between the deep blue water and the green hills makes this tour an unforgettable experience. A day full of peace, beauty and surprises of Gran Canaria!

4| Roque Nublo
Today a special tour is on the program: the walk to the famous Roque Nublo, one of the most iconic sights of Gran Canaria. Our transfer takes us to the starting point, from where we walk the route to this impressive rock formation. Along the way we are rewarded by the spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
After this hike we end the day in the village of Tejeda. One of the most beautiful villages in all of Spain. Here you can enjoy a well-deserved drink.

5| Caldera de Bandama Volcanic Treasure of Gran Canaria
The Caldera de Bandama is an impressive volcanic crater in the east of Gran Canaria. With a diameter of approximately 1 kilometer and a depth of 200 meters, it is one of the island’s most fascinating geological sights. This caldera was created by a volcanic eruption about 5,000 years ago, which resulted in a crater full of fertile soil and unique flora.
We will take a spectacular walk along the crater rim, from where you will have panoramic views of the surrounding area, including Las Palmas, the ocean and the nearby vineyards. For the real adventurers it is also possible to descend to the bottom of the crater, where you will find remains of old farms.
Next to the crater is the Pico de Bandama, a viewpoint at an altitude of 574 meters. From here you can enjoy spectacular views over the eastern part of Gran Canaria.
After this circular walk we return to Agaete via the picturesque town of Teror.

6| Day off
Rest your legs, time to relax by the sea or on a terrace in Purto de las Nieves Agaete
7| Barranco de la Virgen
This beautiful circular walk starts in the village of Firgas, known for its natural springs and atmospheric streets. From here you walk through the lush greenery of the north of Gran Canaria, towards the impressive Barranco de la Virgen.
The route takes you through a landscape of gorges, terraced agricultural fields and dense forests. The Barranco de la Virgen, also called the “Canyon of the Virgin”, is one of the most picturesque places on the island.
Along the way we discover hidden paths, small farms and traditional Canarian architecture, while the sound of birdsong accompanies you. The circular walk ends back in Firgas, where you can relax with a drink on one of the cozy terraces.

8| Departure
Unfortunately, everything comes to an end. We will take you to the airport with our transfer to return to the Netherlands satisfied.
