How does luggage transfer work during a Canary-Hiking hiking holiday? You do not have to walk all day carrying your full luggage. On our hiking holidays, when luggage transfer is included as part of the trip, your luggage is taken to the next accommodation.
This means you only need to carry a light daypack during the day with the things you need while hiking.

How Does Luggage Transfer Work?

Your main luggage will be ready at the agreed location when you start your hiking day. We make sure that your luggage is taken to the next accommodation. After arriving, you therefore do not have to worry about your main luggage. It will be waiting for you at your next accommodation. What Should You Carry in Your Daypack?

During the hike, you mainly need the things you will use along the way. Think of enough water, lunch, sunscreen, sunglasses, an extra layer of clothing and your phone. Because your main luggage is transferred for you, you do not need to carry a heavy trekking backpack. A comfortable daypack is sufficient. A lightweight backpack is more comfortable to walk with, especially during longer hikes and routes with a lot of elevation gain and loss. The hiking grade of a route also determines how much effort you can expect during a hiking day.

How Much Luggage Can I Bring?

The conditions for luggage transfer may vary depending on the hiking holiday. You will therefore receive the specific information for your trip with your travel proposal or booking information. Keep in mind that your luggage may sometimes be transported in a car or van together with other luggage. A practical, securely closable suitcase or bag is therefore the most suitable option.
