Airport Transfers
For many of our hiking holidays, the trip starts with a transfer from the airport to your first accommodation or the starting point of your hiking holiday. This means you do not have to look for public transport or a taxi yourself after arriving. You will receive the practical information about your transfer in advance. If you are arriving at a different airport from the one planned for your hiking holiday, please let us know in advance. In many cases, we can adjust the transfer accordingly.
To the Start of the Hike
For some hiking holidays, the accommodation is not located directly at the start of the hiking route. In that case, we arrange transport to take you to the starting point at the right time. You will receive information about the departure location and time in advance. This allows you to start your hiking day without having to work out how to get to the starting point yourself.
Transfers During Your Hiking Holiday
Some hiking routes start or finish in places that are not easily accessible by public transport. Transfers can also be part of the trip in these situations. Luggage transfer is arranged separately. This may be necessary, for example, when a hiking route ends in a different location from where you are staying. Transfers are arranged according to the itinerary of your hiking holiday. You therefore do not have to arrange transport yourself for each hiking day.
Transfers When Island Hopping
For hiking holidays that combine several Canary Islands, we use different forms of transport as part of the island hopping. You will usually travel between the islands by ferry. Transfers may also be needed from the airport, port or accommodation to the start or end of a hiking route. We include these arrangements in your itinerary, so you know in advance how you will travel from one location to the next.
Private Transfer or Public Transport
Depending on the hiking holiday, we use a private transfer, taxi or public transport. We always look for the most practical solution for the route in question. Not every location is equally easy to reach by public transport. When public transport is a good option, we provide you with the necessary information.
How Do I Know When My Transfer Leaves?
The exact times and arrangements for your transfers are included in the travel information for your hiking holiday. Check this information in advance and make sure you are ready at the agreed time. This is particularly important for transfers to the start of a hike, as you need to allow enough time for the planned walking stage.
What If My Flight Changes?
Has your flight time changed or is your flight delayed? Let us know as soon as possible if this could affect a planned transfer. If we are informed of a change in advance, we can check whether the transfer needs to be adjusted and whether this is possible.
Our Practical Tip
Keep your transfer information on your phone during your trip, for example in the Canary-Hiking travel app. This way, you always have the arrangements and practical information at hand. You do not have to organise everything yourself during your hiking holiday. We make sure the most important transport arrangements are clearly organised in advance, so you can focus on hiking.
