Who is this combination trip suitable for?
The trip is suitable for hikers with a good basic condition who love nature, peace and a sporting challenge. Experience with multi-day trips is useful, but not required.
Can I also book just one island?
Yes! You can choose to book just Tenerife (7 days) or just La Gomera (8 days). The combination of both islands (14 days) is more economical and offers the full GR131 experience.
When will the trip take place?
The combination trip will take place with a minimum of 4 participants. Book in time, because the number of places is limited (maximum 8 participants per island, per group).
What is the weather like in winter in the Canary Islands?
The climate in winter is mild and pleasant, with temperatures between 18–24°C during the day. In the mountains it can be cooler or cloudy. Perfect walking weather!
Is luggage transport included?
Yes, your luggage will be transported for you daily. You will only walk with a light daypack and can enjoy the route without any worries.
What is included in the tour price?
Overnight stays in charming accommodations
Breakfast
Transfers, ferries and luggage transport
Dutch or English speaking tour guide

What should I bring?
Make sure you wear comfortable walking shoes, a good daypack, sun protection, a refillable water bottle and light clothing suitable for warm, dry conditions.
What does the crossing between the islands look like?
The ferry crossing from Tenerife to La Gomera departs from Los Cristianos. It is included in the trip and takes approximately 50 minutes. We provide transfers from/to the port.
What is the difference between hiking in Tenerife and La Gomera?
Both islands offer unique hiking experiences.
Tenerife is rougher, drier and impressive due to the volcanic landscape, pine forests and the contrast between high mountains and coast. Here you can walk through the lunar landscape around Vilaflor and along the flanks of the Teide.
La Gomera is greener and quieter, known for its mysterious cloud forests in the Garajonay National Park, tropical valleys and traditional villages. Here you will experience a more intimate, more hidden side of the Canary Islands nature.
Together they form a perfect contrast and complement within one hiking adventure.
Which island is the highest?
Tenerife is the highest island of the Canary Islands — and even of all of Spain.
The highest point is the Pico del Teide, a volcano of 3,718 meters high. This makes it not only the highest point in Spain, but also the third highest volcano in the world that rises from the sea.
La Gomera, on the other hand, is a lot lower: the highest point is Alto de Garajonay with a height of 1,487 meters.
In short:
Tenerife: rugged, high mountains, spectacular differences in altitude
La Gomera: lower, greener, more jungle-like and intimate

Departure guaranteed with a minimum of 4 participants for the Combo Trip
