With the app, you can:

Below, we explain step by step how to start using the Canary-Hiking Travel App.
Step 1 | Download the Canary-Hiking Travel App
It’s available under the name Reisplan in the Google Play Store (for Android users) and the Apple App Store (for iPhone and iPad users).

Step 2: Log in with your email and booking number
Once you have downloaded the new Sawadee Travel App, you can log in using the email address of the main booker and your booking number. You can find the booking number in the confirmation email you received after booking (with the subject Your booking is confirmed!).
If you booked together with others, everyone in your travel group can log in on their own phone using the same details from the person who made the booking.

1. Is the app free?
The Canary-Hiking Travel App is free to download and use. Please note that your mobile provider may charge for data usage abroad. The app also works via Wi-Fi, which is available in most accommodations and restaurants.
2. Does the app work on all phones?
Yes, the app works on most smartphones. For Android devices, version 6.0 or higher is required. For Apple devices, the app works on iPhones and iPads running iOS 16.0 or newer.
3. Can I use the app on an iPad or tablet?
The app is primarily designed for use on a mobile phone, but it can also be downloaded and used on iPads and tablets.
4. Where can I download the app?
You can find the Canary-Hiking Travel App in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
5. Is the app available in multiple languages?
Yes, the app is available in Dutch, English, German, French, and Polish. The language is automatically set according to your phone’s settings. For example, if your phone is set to Dutch, the app will open in Dutch. For other languages, English is shown by default.
1. How do I log in to the app?
After downloading the Canary-Hiking Travel App, you can log in using the email address of the main booker (the person who made the booking) and the booking number. You can find the booking number in the confirmation email you received. Travelers who booked together can also log in on their own devices using the same details.
2. My email is not recognized. What should I do?
First, make sure you are using the main booker’s email along with the correct booking number. If it still doesn’t work, please contact us via phone, WhatsApp, or email.
3. Where can I find my booking number?
Your booking number is in the confirmation email sent to the main booker. If you are traveling as a co-traveler, you can ask the main booker for the number. In the app, you can also click “Forgot booking number?” Enter the main booker’s email, and you will receive the number via email from our partner Travelia.
4. Can my travel companions log in too?
Yes, everyone can install the app on their own device and log in using the main booker’s details (email + booking number).
5. How do I add my travel companions?
Go to “Groups” in the app and click “Share your details”. Enter your own information and optionally add co-travelers via “+ Add my travel companions”.
6. Why can’t I see all my travel companions’ information?
You only see the information that someone has chosen to provide. For example, if a traveler does not enter their age, that information will not be visible to others.
7. How can I edit my travel companions’ information?
In the app, go to “Groups” and select “Edit my travel companions’ details”. Here you can update names, contact details, age, gender, and optionally add a profile photo.
8. I forgot my access code. What should I do?
If you have set a four-digit access code and forgot it, you need to delete and reinstall the app. Your trips will disappear but can be easily re-added using your email and booking number.
9. What happens to my data if I delete the app?
Deleting the app will remove your data. If you reinstall it later, you can re-add your trip using your email and booking number.
10. Are my data shared with Travelia?
The Canary-Hiking Travel App uses technology from our partner Travelia. Only the data necessary to display your trip correctly are shared: trip name, departure and return dates, booking number, email, and last name. Travelia uses this data exclusively for the app’s functionality and not for other purposes. Your data is safe.
11. How do I add my trip if I booked through a travel agency?
Even if you booked through a travel agency, you can add your trip the same way. Use your own email (not the agency’s) and your booking number. The app recognizes that the booking is via an agent and will ask for your last name and departure date. You will then have full access to your trip and travel group.
1. Can I view multiple trips in the app at the same time?
Yes, you can. Using “All Trips” (top right of the screen), you can easily switch between the different trips linked to your account.
2. When can I start chatting with my travel companions? (Group trip)
Four weeks before departure, a link to a dedicated WhatsApp group for your trip will appear in the app. You can join this group to meet your travel companions. You’ll receive a notification in the app (if push notifications are enabled) when the link becomes available. The link can be found under “Groups”.
3. I don’t have WhatsApp. Can I still chat with my travel companions? (Group trip)
No. The app itself does not include a chat function. Communication with travel companions takes place exclusively via the WhatsApp group.
4. Why don’t I see my tour leader in the WhatsApp group? (Group trip)
The WhatsApp group is intended for communication between travelers. The tour leader may still be on another group and therefore might not join the group before the trip. During the trip, the leader may choose to join. Please note this is subject to change.
5. Why do I see two Canary-Hiking numbers in the WhatsApp group? (Group trip)
These numbers indicate that Canary-Hiking manages the group. We do not participate in the conversations. For questions or assistance, you can always contact us directly via the usual channels.
6. I see an advertisement for Nextory. What is this?
Nextory is an app for audiobooks and e-books. Through the Canary-Hiking Travel App, you can get a discount on a subscription to enjoy their content during your trip. If you’re not interested, you can hide the ad by clicking the cross.
7. I see an advertisement for My Travel Moments. What is this?
My Travel Moments is a feature in the Canary-Hiking Travel App (Photos) that allows you to capture your travel photos and memories. You can share this photo diary with family and friends during your trip, and after your trip, automatically create a printed photo album. If you prefer not to use it, you can hide the ad by clicking the cross.
8. The information in the app differs from the website. Which one is correct?
The app always provides the most up-to-date information regarding routes, accommodations, and flight schedules. The information in the app takes precedence; no rights can be derived from the website content.
9. Where can I find my travel documents?
Your travel documents will be available in the app under “My Trip” > “Travel Documents” at least 14 days before departure. You will also receive an email when all documents are complete. Please note: full payment of your trip is required before you can access the documents.
10. Where can I find practical information about my trip?
Practical information such as packing lists, vaccinations, finances, or visa requirements is not included in the app. This information is available on our website under “Knowledge Base” for your specific trip.
